In order to protect investors, generate good competitions among businesses and enhance corporate governance, the FSC has since 2014 held the Corporate Governance Evaluation annually. The evaluation indicators can be categorized into four groups, i.e., “to protect shareholder’s interests and treat each shareholder fairly”, “to enhance the structure and operation of the BOD”, “to improve information transparency”, “to promote sustainable development”.
In 2021, VisEra appointed its head of legal division to be the corporate governance officer. In 2022, we also organized a cross-department task force for corporate governance. In 2023, we attended the Corporate Governance Evaluation for the first time and ranked top 6%~20% among all the public listing companies. In 2024, aside from remaining in the same ranking, our score also improved.
The FSC has indicated that in 2026, the Corporate Governance Evaluation will be turning into the ESG Evaluation. In the future, VisEra will continue to improve and endeavor to meet ESG indicators to protect the interests of stakeholders and create long-term corporate value.
