VisEra collaborates with NTHU on “Literary walking in Hsinchu”
VisEra has been tirelessly promoting ESG activities for years. In 2024, we sponsored and had our team engaged to collaborate with NTHU on the 'Literary walking in Hsinchu' project.
In partnership with five local teams (as the table below), this initiative aims to promote the Hsinchu area’s green tourism brand through the development of an App-based guide and the use of AR (augmented reality) technology, actively showcasing the unique charm of Hsinchu to the broader community.
Starting in 2025, VisEra’s employees, along with their families, friends and the general public will be able to participate in this activity along five different walking routes. Not only will this promote physical health, but it will also allow participants to appreciate Hsinchu's beauty and cultural heritage, providing an excellent example of work-life balance.
Additionally, by integrating AR (augmented reality) technology with VisEra core technologies—such as CIS (CMOS Image Sensor), ToF (Time of Flight), ambient light sensors, and proximity sensors—the project concretely showcases our core technical capabilities while connecting them with ESG activities. We invite everyone to discover the beautiful scenery and cultural charm of the Greater Hsinchu area through these walking tours!
Teenager Performing Arts League – “Codename: Unicorn" Theater
Teenager Performing Arts League uses theater as a medium to offer programs that inspire creativity and critical thinking in young people. Through authentic experiences in drama education, it harnesses the power of art to help teenagers develop themselves, understand society, express diverse perspectives, and contribute to creating a sustainable future for Taiwan.
In addition to supporting cultural development, VisEra also focuses on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly quality education.
This year, for the first time, we partnered with Teenager Performing Arts League by sponsoring the production of “Codename: Unicorn”. The theme of the play addresses emotional issues faced by teenagers.
"Gift Exchange" Life Story Documentary
In Taiwan, a new cancer patient is diagnosed every five minutes!
According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 2023 statistics on the top ten causes of death, the leading cause is malignant tumors (cancer), with 53,126 people dying from cancer that year.
Well-known celebrity Bowie Tsang and documentary director Lin Mingqian observed that cancer patients are often either trapped in despair, diligently following medical advice, or seeking alternative treatments everywhere. This made them wonder: How can I help them?
VisEra cares about life and the natural environment, such as providing annual health check-ups and wellness activities for employees, as well as offering documentaries on environmental ecology like “Whale Island” and “Enigma: The Chinese Crested Tern”. This year, VisEra supported the documentary “Gift Exchange” released, which hopes to accompany patients and their families through every step of their battle with illness. VisEra colleagues will also watch the documentary together at the premiere, raising awareness about personal health, family well-being, and the courage to face pain.
